What is the Juniors division?

The Juniors division is a new division for 13 - 15-year-old players.  It is played on a full-size baseball field with 90-foot base paths and a 60' 6" pitching distance. In addition to the field size changes, the Juniors division allows leading off, metal cleats, and big barrel bats.

Where and when does the South Sunrise Juniors Division play? 

South Sunrise will play Junior Division games on weekdays and Saturdays against other teams in our district and possibly nearby districts.  Home games are played at Santiago Middle School.

What are the bat regulations for the Juniors Division

  • The bat must be longer than 34 inches
  • The bat may not be more than 2 5/8 inches in diameter
  • If the barrel is composite, the bat must meet the BBCOR standard
  • Bats with metal barrels require no certification
